Alphabet:

As the title suggests, we break the silence on this record. This is more than just a continuation of AS. This is us speaking from our hearts and shouting at the rooftops. It's the kind of music we have wanted to make since we were teenagers listening to Tyler, the Creator, and Death Grips. I am beyond happy with how it turned out and there are few words to describe the effort and heart we put into it. To everyone who listens, thank you. Being an artist is a thankless job when you're on the rise. You are belittled constantly for putting yourself out there. This is our response to that treatment. Please enjoy.

Soup:

This album came about very quickly after we released the EP. After we saw how many people listened to and enjoyed the EP, we knew we had a chance to become successful moving forward with a full-length project. Break the Silence is about a lot of things, but I’d say at its core, it's about heartbreak, misinformation, trust, and pain. There are a few songs on here that make reference to certain personal events in our lives that only a few people will understand and we wanted to keep those elements on the album for those few people, so this is mostly for them. Thank you to all the people who worked with us on this album, we couldn’t have done it without you, adding such elements as guitars, synths, vocals, etc. Through the frustration and excitement, I think this is easily the best body of work we’ve made yet, and we both believe that the band will only continue to grow and evolve going forward. I hope you all enjoy it!

Alphabet:

This EP went from conception to release in just one summer. Think of AS as an introduction to Soup and me. A look into our thoughts, ideas, and inspirations. It's personal while also still remaining ambiguous. There were a lot of conversations we had behind closed doors that would inevitably become the backbone of this project and by and large it's meant to be a heavy-handed glimpse of what's to come. I say that knowing full well our style will continue to evolve as we push out more projects. With that being said, the EP is as much about others as it is about us.

Soup:

AS is about Alphabet Soup. The EP is an ode, in a way, to the artists and albums that Alphabet and I have fallen in love with over the years. Anything from Portishead to JPEGMAFIA can be seen all over this EP, including writing styles and production aesthetics. Seeing as this is our first entry into the music industry, we hope people enjoy hearing something new and interesting and we hope fans stick with us as we expand our musical journey.
